European Peace Project #2 Peace & Freedom for Palestine
"On October 3rd at 5 p.m., it will once again be time to take a stand: the genocide and illegal occupation in Palestine must end!
With a new, second manifesto, we hereby launch a major mobilisation for peace and freedom for Palestine. On Friday, October 3rd at 5 p.m., let us – as we did on May 9th– proclaim a manifesto for Palestine simultaneously in all countries on the European continent and, if possible, throughout the world, in dozens of languages, with a performative speech act from our windows, on our balconies, in our squares and at the large demonstrations that will take place in many cities on that day.
On October 3rd, let us bring together civil society across Europe in resistance against injustice, displacement, genocide and war. Pressure must be exerted on all governments that support the right-wing extremist Israeli government militarily, politically and economically. Even though some Western governments have recently called for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid, it is difficult to predict what will happen between now and 3 October 2025. A sustainable peace solution with equal rights for all people living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea is needed.
The text of the proclamation is already available here in numerous languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Persian. If your national or regional language (Catalan, Gaelic, Bavarian or Alsatian, etc.) is missing, please send us the translation, as you did last time! As on 9 May, you are welcome to vary the text of the proclamation, modify it individually, i.e. omit or add something, set it to music, rewrite it as a poem or whatever else you can think of artistically: it is the template for the proclamation! If you change our text, please remember to add your own VisdP underneath.
You are welcome to use our manifesto for reading at the Anti-War Day events (1 September 2025 in Germany, 21 September 2025 internationally). In any case, these are excellent opportunities to promote the European Peace Project and our action on October 3rd.
Join us at our peace action for Palestine on October 3rd 2025, just like you did at the successful proclamation on May 9th! Please fill in the contact form on our website, and we will add you to the European Peace Project mailing list and keep you up to date with all further plans and activities by email.
Please help us make this project big and meaningful
In addition to enthusiasm, commitment and creativity, this also requires some money. We ask that everyone who registers and participates here donate at least €1. Thank you in advance!
You can participate in the European Peace Project as individuals or as an organisation. Everyone who registers will receive a peace dove on our interactive map of Europe in the coming weeks, showing that you, your town and your village are also involved!
Starting in September, there will once again be a feature here on our website (www.europeanpeaceproject.eu) where you can enter planned activities in your area so that you can team up with other participants in your neighbourhood!
In our ‘Art Work’ section, we are once again offering artistic templates for posters, T-shirts, stickers, buttons and flags – this time tailored to the conflict in Gaza – which you can have printed at a copy shop or order online to promote the European Peace Project in the coming weeks: at bus stops, on trees, advertising columns, on walls or as posters in your shop..
The basic idea is to open your window or go to a public place at 5 p.m. on 3 October 2025 and read out the manifesto for peace and against genocide in Gaza. You are welcome to expand on this idea creatively with actions, art, performances, happenings or flash mobs: you are the actors of the European Peace Project and you can shape the idea according to your own ideas!
Please film or photograph yourselves during the proclamation, at your window or in your market square, and then send us the pictures/videos. After 3 October, we will publish them in a digital gallery on this website to document that the citizens of Europe and the whole world are for peace and not for war!
The gallery of proclamations from 9 May 2025 on the conflict in Ukraine can already be viewed digitally on our website. The film about the proclamation on 9 May 2025, a half-hour documentary of the proclamations across Europe, can be found here on the website and on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@EuropeanPeaceProject. It shows how important collective commitment to peace is and also how much common ground and joy it creates when we all work together to make a difference!
With these proclamations, we want to send a signal that European citizens are aware of their shared responsibility for the wars in this world and that Europe as a peace project is not limited to its own continent!
